Misrata | Thursday, October 15, 2026 - Misrata University received the Japanese Ambassador to Libya and his accompanying delegation. The visit aimed to explore prospects for academic and scientific cooperation and to discuss opportunities for establishing joint partnerships between the university and Japanese academic institutions.
The ambassador and his delegation were received by Dr. Fathi Al-Turki, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science; Dr. Salem Al-Shaltat, Director of the University`s International Cooperation Office; and Mr. Mohamed Shaglouf, the University`s Secretary General.
The meeting addressed ways to enhance joint cooperation, exchange scientific and academic expertise, and identify promising areas for partnership that support higher education and scientific research, opening the door to benefiting from the Japanese experience in these fields.
This visit comes within the framework of Misrata University`s efforts to expand its international relations and build effective partnerships with international universities and scientific institutions, supporting its educational and research mission and opening the door to sustainable cooperation opportunities.
