Misrata | Monday, October 19, 2026 - The Faculty of Law at Misrata University organized a workshop entitled "Student Excellence in the Era of Academic Internationalization: Successful Experiences and Practices in the Field of Law." The workshop, aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, was held in cooperation with the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research through the National Program for Excellence in Science and Technology, as part of the joint activities stemming from the partnership agreement between the two parties.
The workshop was opened by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdul Hakim Ruwaiha, who emphasized the importance of scientific and research activities in enhancing students` capabilities and preparing them to benefit from academic opportunities at the national and international levels.
For his part, Dr. Osama Kashada, Director of the National Excellence Program, reviewed the mechanisms for achieving academic excellence and highlighted the most prominent competitive study and research opportunities available to Libyan students, from the national level to international participation. He emphasized interdisciplinary research areas including forensic accounting, forensic oil and gas engineering, the integration of law and medicine, and the intersection of law and technology.
The workshop aimed to familiarize students with the available academic and competitive opportunities and the requirements for academic and research excellence, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and opening broader horizons for a promising professional and academic future.
