Misrata | Sunday, January 18, 2026 - The Misrata University Council held its first regular meeting for the year 2026 this Sunday afternoon, chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Bashir Abubakr Al-Qunaidi, and attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Secretary General, the Registrar General, the Deans of the Faculties, and the Director of the University Council Affairs Office.
The meeting began with a review of the minutes of the previous regular meeting of the University Council, a discussion of the recommendations contained therein, and taking the necessary action regarding them.
The meeting then discussed monitoring the progress of the educational and examination process, in light of the approaching end of the fall semester of 2025/2026, and assessing the readiness of the colleges and the early preparations for the start of the second semester of spring 2025/2026.
The council also discussed the follow-up mechanism for organizing administrative work within the university administration, aiming to improve institutional performance and develop work processes. In addition, they reviewed several quality programs and proposals designed to support the educational and administrative processes at the university.
