Misrata | Monday, January 5, 2026 - The National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions announced that the Faculty of Engineering at Misrata University has been granted program accreditation for all postgraduate programs, pursuant to the Director General of the Center’s Decision No. (637) of 2025.
The accreditation decision included three (3) year Master`s programs in the following disciplines:
Mechanical Power Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering, Communications Engineering, and Materials Science Engineering.
The decision also included granting program accreditation to three (3) year Doctoral programs in the following disciplines:
Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, and Mechanical Power Engineering.
In addition, the Master`s program in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering has been granted four (4) year program accreditation.
This accreditation comes after the college fulfilled the approved quality requirements and standards, and passed the evaluation and audit procedures implemented by the National Center, reflecting the college’s commitment to developing graduate programs and improving the quality of the educational and research process in accordance with approved national standards.
The Presidency of Misrata University extends its congratulations to the Faculty of Engineering, its administration, faculty members, and staff on this academic achievement, wishing them continued success and further accreditations that will enhance the university`s standing both locally and internationally.
