Handover Ceremony of the Presidency of Misurata University

Misurata| December 29, 2021  In an atmosphere of cordiality and solidarity, the handover ceremony for the presidency of Misurata University was held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in the main meeting room at the General Administration of Misurata University. The President-designate of Misurata University, Dr. Mahmood Zagout, handed over the presidency of Misurata University to the current President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour, under the resolution No. 908 in which the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the Government of National Unity, Imran Mohamed al-Qib, appoints Prof.  Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour as the President of Misurata University. As a result, a handover committee has been formed, made up of: 1. Dr. Ibrahim Meftah al-Saghier - Head   2. Dr. Khaled Mohamed al-Mahjoub - Member 3. Dr. Mohamed Meftah al-Foutaimi - Member 4. Mr. Hussein Bashir al-Majouk - Member  The committee met at 12:00 p.m., with the presence of the members of the University Council, Director of the University Council Affairs Office, the University General Registrar, the University Secretary-General, President of Misurata University Teaching Staff Union, President of Misurata University Staff Union and a number of directors of offices, departments and centers at Misurata University.   The handover of the presidency of Misurata University went smoothly in a cordial atmosphere as the Head of the Handover Committee, Dr. Ibrahim al-Saghier, gave a speech in which he expressed his sincere appreciation for the efforts made by all the members of this well- established university, wishing Prof. Dr. Faraj Ali Abushaala, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Sawalem and Dr. Mahmood Zagout good luck and success in their forthcoming duties and expressing his gratitude for their remarkable efforts in serving Misurata university and its colleges. The new President of Misurata University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour, in his speech, expressed his deep gratitude to all the members of Misurata University for their hard work and outstanding commitment to the development of Misurata University, without forgetting to thank Prof. Dr. Faraj Ali Abushaala, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Sawalem and Dr. Mahmood Zagout for their fruitful endeavours during their service, wishing them all the best in their future career.    Dr. Mahmood Zagout showed his appreciation to the members of the committee for all they had done for the success of the handover process. He also wished the new president of Misurata University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour, good luck and success in his new position and he did not forget to express his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Faraj Ali Abushaala and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Sawalem for the constructive role they had played during their service.  Later, the attendees gave speeches welcoming the new president and praying that Misurata University, with God’s help, will continue to thrive.  At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour presented a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Faraj Ali Abushaala in recognition of the quality services he had provided during his presidency.  In addition, a plaque of appreciation from the Presidents of Misurata University Teaching Staff Union and Misurata University Staff Union was presented to Prof. Dr. Faraj Ali Abushaala in recognition of his hard work during his presidency.  Another certificate of appreciation was presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Khaled al-Zurghani, to Prof. Dr. Faraj Ali Abushaala in gratitude for his constant support to the Faculty of Medicine and the rest of colleges at the university.  We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr. Faraj Ali Abushaala, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Sawalem and Dr. Mahmood Zagout and wish them all the best and success in their career. We wish the current President of Misurata University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Danfour, good luck in his new job as the President of this highly distinguished university.
