Misrata | Tuesday, May 5, 2026 - The President of Misrata University, Professor Dr. Bashir Abubakr Al-Qunaidi, received the Director of the National Program for Excellence in Science and Technology at the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, Dr. Osama Ammar Kashada, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, and ways to support the university’s participation in quality scientific programs and initiatives.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the International Cooperation Office, Dr. Salem Al-Shaltat, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Dr. Fathi Al-Turki, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Abdul-Wahab Al-Salabi, where views were exchanged on opportunities to develop the partnership between the two sides, in a way that contributes to strengthening the research environment within the university, and opening up broader horizons for researchers to participate in competitive programs at the national, regional and international levels.
This meeting comes as part of the university`s efforts to solidify its scientific presence and expand its network of relationships with institutions that support research and innovation, thereby enhancing its academic standing and supporting its journey towards excellence and leadership in the fields of science and technology.
