The Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at Misrata University celebrates World GIS Day, which is held as part of the Faculty of Arts` cultural season, under the slogan "Modern Geospatial Technologies and their Practical Applications". Including a scientific lecture explaining how modern technologies have reshaped the field of geography, and practical lectures on the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), geographic information systems (GIS), and GPS RTK in the production of topographic maps and digital elevation models, on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the conference hall of the Faculty of Arts.
