Misrata University participated in the 6th Libyan Universities Chess Championship, hosted by Gharyan University, with the participation of 13 Libyan universities. This participation was part of the activities organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the supervision of the University Activities Department, and took place from July 20-21, 2026, at the Youth Hostel in Gharyan.

The university`s participation, overseen by the University Activities Department, reflects its commitment to promoting student activities and supporting student participation in sports and intellectual pursuits. This contributes to developing students` abilities, instilling the values ​​of fair competition, and strengthening communication and interaction among Libyan university students.
