On Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the office of the president of the university, an agreement between Misurata University and Nokba Group Co for Software and Technology Solutions was signed for the design and implementation of an integrated system for study and examinations and accompanying systems for all the Faculties at the University. Misurata University was represented by Prof. Faraj Ali Abushaala and Nokba Group Co was represented by the general representative of the company, Mr. Allam Abdulsalam Mohammed. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed Sawalem, vice president for academic affairs_ Mr. Eesa Maneeta, chairman of the follow-up committee of Almokhtar system_ Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Alsheikh, Faculty member at the Faculty of Economy and member at the committee_ Mr. Mufeed Khleefa Albukbak, Registrar General of the university and member at the committee_ Dr. Mustafa Ali Alshereef, Director of the Department of Postgraduate Studies at the university. Almokhtar system is considered a comprehensive system for the whole university including its various departments, offices, centers and faculties and it provides the following services: It facilitates communication and daily administrative procedures between Misurata University and its faculties. In fact, Almokhtar system is a software system that addresses the problems of class schedules as it shows any inconsistencies in lectures and final exams for students, as well as inconsistencies in classrooms and for faculty members at the level of the university. The system provides a mechanism for documenting the attendance of students and faculty members. Services of the system also include the advantage that the Administration of Misurata University can figure out the number of teaching hours of the teaching staff members at any faculty, and the advantage that the Registrar General can know the total number or data of students at any faculty. Services also include the establishment of an electronic archive for examination results and all the documents of the Department of Study and Examination and the Registration department and the academic departments. Using the system, A3 and A4 certificates can be made. In addition, there is a library that is found at the accompanying systems. A unit in the system is allocated for registering postgraduate students in the system and following-up their educational status in addition to providing a private system for each faculty. Release of the semester results either separately or according to courses and their groups is also one of the services provided by Almokhtar system. Other significant services provided by the system: Data Management of departments (Curricula_ Teaching Staff_ Classrooms_ Study Schedule) and determining the number of semesters for each department and the system the department follows._ Management of the data of each department._ Management of the data of Curricula._ Provision of an easy and reliable mechanism for recording grades in accordance with the study system followed._ Provision of a mechanism for managing student enrolment data that includes: Registration renewal for students and withdrawal from the semester. Almokhtar system also provides the process of transferring students from one faculty to another electronically. Each faculty member and student has their own private file that contains all their personal data which are accessible whenever they need them. The system is supported by a mobile phone app that allows students to see their study schedule and be reminded of the dates of exams or whether an exam is canceled or delayed, as well as any other announcement made by the faculty. Through the system, the financial department can figure out the additional teaching hours of a faculty member electronically. The system provides a feature for employees concerning the time of attendance and leave using fingerprints. Other services are linking the system of the Department of Study and Examinations to the treasury and the preparation of final accounts for treasury branches in faculties.
