Misurata | Sunday, October 19, 2025 AD - The Acting President of Misurata University, Dr. Fathi Al-Taher Al-Turaiki, received this morning the Chairman and members of the Supreme Committee for Veterinary Medicine Faculties in Libyan Universities, formed by Decision No. (1027) of 2024 of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, coinciding with the holding of its regular meeting at Misurata University.
During the meeting, attendees discussed ways to develop the educational and research process in colleges of veterinary medicine, and a number of important items, most notably: following up on the activation and updating of the guide for colleges of veterinary medicine in Libyan universities, and reviewing the study plans and course content. Updating the colleges` internal regulations to keep pace with modern scientific developments, in addition to preparing the graduate studies regulations and developing their academic programs to ensure the advancement of higher education outcomes in this specialization.
This meeting comes as part of the committee`s ongoing efforts to unify academic policies and enhance cooperation between veterinary medicine colleges at Libyan universities, contributing to improving the quality of education and graduating qualified personnel who meet the needs of the national labor market.
