This morning, Thursday, the University of Misrata organized a workshop in the meeting room at the General Administration headquarters on the electronic portal system of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Government of National Unity, which is used to register students at Libyan universities. The workshop was attended by the Registrar General, Professor Ahmed Al-Shawki, and college registrars.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Abdel Shahid, Director of the University`s Documentation and Information Center, and Kamal Al-Aoud, a staff member at the center. They reviewed the most prominent advantages of the proposed system, most notably improving data accuracy, facilitating information exchange between colleges, and creating a central database that will help expedite admissions and registration procedures.
The workshop included a visual presentation explaining the technical and administrative steps required to activate the system, as well as interactive discussions addressing potential challenges and proposed solutions. It emphasized the importance of expediting implementation to keep pace with technological developments and enhance the efficiency of academic and administrative work at the university.
