This morning, Sunday, the handover ceremony of the presidency of Misurata University was held between Professor Ibrahim Muhammad Daghman, the university`s acting president, and Professor Bashir Abu Bakr Al-Qunaidi, the current president of Misurata University, pursuant to Cabinet Resolution No. (521) of 2025.
The ceremony was attended by members of the University Council and a number of academic and administrative figures. It included a welcoming speech delivered by Professor Ibrahim Mohammed Daghman, in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the presidents who have led the university since its founding, appreciating their efforts to develop and advance it.
In his speech, President Professor Dr. Bashir Al-Qunaidi expressed his pride in this confidence, extending his thanks to the previous presidents and emphasizing his commitment to continuing to work in a team spirit to develop the university and enhance its scientific and academic standing.
The handover ceremony took place under the supervision of a committee appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Professor Dr. Amhamed Anouiji Ghamidh, and including a representative from the University Affairs Administration, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, a representative from the university`s legal office, and Professor Salah El-Din Mustafa Al-Suwaih.
