The first Quality Forum for Libyan Universities was held with broad participation from officials and academics from the higher education sector. The forum aimed to promote a culture of quality and exchange expertise among universities.
The Minister of Higher Education and the Director General of the National Center for Quality Assurance participated in the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of advancing university education. Several universities, including Misurata University, represented by the Director of the University`s Quality Assurance Office and the Head of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Department at the College of Medicine, also contributed by presenting their experiences in the field of quality and performance improvement.
The sessions addressed topics such as academic accreditation, internal quality systems, and university performance evaluation. The forum concluded with several recommendations, most notably: strengthening the independence of quality units, developing training programs, and unifying institutional and programmatic evaluation mechanisms.
