Misurata, May 29, 2025 – The fifth regular meeting of the University of Misurata Council was held this Thursday morning, chaired by Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Danfour, and attended by the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, the Secretary-General and Registrar-General, deans of faculties, and directors of centers and departments.
The meeting began with a review of the minutes of the previous session and a follow-up of the progress of the educational process and preparations for the final exams, in addition to discussing the reports of previous committees, including those related to the implementation of Law No. (04) of 2020, along with other proposals, including the issuance of the Career Excellence Award regulations.
The items submitted by the ministry were discussed, most notably the presentation of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Medical Specialties Council, and the granting of permission for cooperation in postgraduate programs at medical colleges to address shortages in certain specialties. The IELTS English language exam, which will be administered at the IELTS Center at Misurata University, was also approved, as was an update to the university`s staffing structure.
The meeting concluded with a presentation of reports from the Quality Assurance Office on the completion of the master`s program files in the Department of Medical Genetics at the College of Health Sciences, the Department of History at the College of Education, and the doctoral file in the Department of Psychology at the College of Arts. These reports are intended to obtain a practice permit from the Ministry of Higher Education.
