A workshop at the Faculty of Engineering, Misurata University, on the classification of Libyan scientific journals

The Faculty of Engineering at Misurata University hosted a scientific workshop on Thursday, organized by the National Authority for the Development of Libyan Scientific Journals. The workshop was attended by Dr. Ali Salem, Director of the Ministry`s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and featured a select group of editorial board members from the universities of Misurata, Bani Walid, Al-Zaytouna, Al-Marqab, and Al-Asmariya, as well as a number of technical colleges and institutes in the central region.
The workshop opened with a welcoming speech from the Dean of the College of Engineering, who emphasized the importance of this event in supporting the quality of scientific research and academic publishing in Libya.
The workshop included two lectures. The first addressed scientific research mechanisms, while the second reviewed the classification criteria for the Libyan Journals Directory. It concluded with an open scholarly discussion that resulted in important recommendations that will contribute to improving the performance of journals and raising their rankings locally and internationally.
