In appreciation of the efforts made by the Central Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department in uncovering the identity of those responsible for a number of anonymous accounts that were used to spread rumors and misleading news, and to defame and abuse the university administration, represented by the university president and a number of its affiliates, the president of Misrata University sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to the head of the branch and its members.
The university president commended the actions taken by the Cybercrime Unit of the Central Criminal Investigation Department, which resulted in identifying those responsible for managing the accounts, apprehending two individuals in connection with the incident, taking their statements, and referring the findings of the investigation to the competent authority to complete the legal procedures.
