Misrata | July 28, 2026 - The Misrata University Council held its sixth regular meeting for the year 2026 today, Tuesday, chaired by the University President, to discuss a number of academic and administrative issues, review the conclusion of the 2025-2026 academic year with its educational and examination programs and their supplements, issue directives for a number of procedures in preparation for the new academic year, and review the most prominent files included on the agenda.
The council reviewed the minutes of its previous meeting for approval, and discussed a number of correspondences and topics referred from colleges and general departments, including the development of academic programs, the introduction of new specializations, the approval of a number of educational program files for postgraduate studies, the approval of a number of practical programs, and the presentation of the procedures for sabbatical leave for the year 2026-2027 for approval, in addition to a number of legal and administrative matters.
The council concluded its work by adopting the necessary decisions and recommendations on the topics on the agenda, which will enhance institutional performance and support the university`s progress in the fields of education, scientific research, and community service.
