
Misrata – Thursday, July 9, 2026: The Central Committee for Curriculum Development Committees at Misrata University held its third meeting, under the supervision of the University`s Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Office, in the meeting hall of the University Administration Building. The meeting was attended by the heads of the curriculum development committees from the various faculties of the university.
The meeting began with a discussion of the faculties` progress in implementing curriculum development projects during the second quarter of 2026. The committee heads reviewed the work completed and the progress made in implementing the development plans. They also discussed the most significant challenges facing the work and mechanisms for addressing them to ensure the achievement of the university`s objectives in developing academic programs.
The meeting also reviewed the draft regulations for curriculum development committees in the colleges, prepared by the subcommittee formed for this purpose, after it completed its work and submitted the proposed version of the regulations. Attendees discussed the articles of the regulations and offered several observations and suggestions aimed at strengthening the role of curriculum development committees and standardizing their operational mechanisms across the university`s colleges.
Finally, the meeting reviewed the most important proposals submitted by the committee chairs, discussed the main obstacles facing curriculum development in the colleges, and emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the committees and the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Office. This coordination is crucial for developing curricula and academic programs in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation, and in keeping with scientific advancements and labor market needs.
