Misurata University has been included in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, a global sustainability ranking that reflects its commitment to promoting sustainable development principles and its role in serving the community and enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.

This ranking is one of the most prominent global rankings specializing in measuring the contribution of higher education institutions to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations, through evaluating university performance in the areas of education, scientific research, community service, governance, partnerships, and institutional impact.
The 2026 edition saw the participation of universities from 116 countries and territories, where participating institutions were evaluated according to precise indicators covering the Sustainable Development Goals, in addition to the overall ranking, reflecting their impact on supporting sustainable development at the local and global levels.
Misurata University`s participation in this ranking reflects its commitment to aligning its strategic plans with the Sustainable Development Goals, enhancing its contribution to community service, developing the educational and scientific research environment, and expanding cooperation and partnerships with various institutions both locally and internationally.

The university continues to work on improving its performance in sustainability indicators, which will contribute to strengthening its presence in international rankings and consolidating its academic standing and developmental role.
