Misrata | Tuesday, June 23, 2026 - The Misrata University Council held its fifth regular meeting of 2026 this afternoon in the meeting hall of the Faculty of Arts. The meeting was chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Bashir Abubakr Al-Qunaidi, and attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Secretary General, the Registrar, the Deans of the Faculties, and the Director of the University Council Affairs Office.

The meeting addressed several academic and administrative matters. The Council reviewed the progress made on the decisions and recommendations issued at the previous meeting, discussed updates related to the workflow within the faculties and university facilities, and approved several proposals concerning the educational process.
The council also discussed ongoing preparations to complete the requirements of the current semester, reviewed academic and organizational plans, and discussed several matters related to developing institutional performance and enhancing the quality of education and scientific research. They also approved a number of proposals related to the educational process, all aimed at supporting the university`s progress and achieving its strategic goals.

Following the meeting, the president and members of the university council toured the new building of the Faculty of Arts library to inspect the progress and equipment. This facility represents a significant academic addition to the university`s infrastructure and will contribute to supporting the educational and research process, providing a suitable academic environment for students, faculty members, and researchers.
