
Misrata | Monday, February 16, 2026 - A scientific workshop entitled “The Digital Identity of the Researcher” was held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Arts, organized by the International Rankings Committee at Misrata University, in the presence of a number of faculty members, teaching assistants and those interested in the field of scientific research.
The workshop aimed to enable participants to create and manage their research accounts via the Google Scholar platform and obtain an ORCID, which enhances accurate tracking of scientific output, raises the level of academic visibility and citations, and contributes to improving research performance indicators.
The workshop addressed the concept of the researcher’s digital identity and its importance in building a documented and internationally recognized scientific record, in addition to a practical review of the mechanisms for creating accounts, linking them to global research identifiers, and updating them continuously.
This event is part of the International Rankings Committee`s efforts to support researchers and foster a culture of digital academic presence, which will positively impact the university`s standing in international rankings and the quality of its scientific output.
