Misrata | 9 February 2026 – The University of Misrata, represented by Prof. Ibrahim Daghman, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Salem Al-Shaltat, Director of the International Cooperation Office, participated in a consultative working session dedicated to discussing and endorsing the components of the National Framework for Enhancing the Employability of Graduates from Education Institutions in Libya. This comes within the framework of the EU4SKILLS project, which aims to bridge the skills gap, strengthen employment governance, and align educational outcomes with the needs of the Libyan labor market.

The meeting brought together representatives from higher and technical education institutions, along with representatives from both the public and private sectors. The session reviewed the general framework of the national strategy for enhancing graduate employability, discussed the components of work-based learning, mechanisms for coordination between educational institutions and the labor market, and evaluation and follow-up tools. It also addressed the role of career preparation services and career guidance in improving graduates’ employment opportunities and aligning their skills with market requirements.

The University’s participation in this meeting reflects its ongoing efforts to engage in international projects and strengthen partnerships with international and local entities, contributing to the development of the higher education system and supporting sustainable development pathways in Libya.

It is worth noting that the EU4SKILLS project is funded by the European Union, co-financed by the French Government, and implemented by Expertise France in partnership with relevant Libyan stakeholders.
