
The Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Misrata University, in cooperation with the Faculty`s Student Union, organized a dialogue session yesterday, Saturday, entitled:
The Unified Development Program: A Gateway to Comprehensive Reform or a Management of the Existing Division?
The session was held in the Omar Al-Toumi Al-Shaibani Auditorium at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, and was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and those interested in economic affairs.
The session addressed three main themes. The first focused on the anticipated political impact of the unified development program and its role in overcoming division and strengthening unity in development decision-making.
The second theme reviewed the expected economic and financial impacts of the program, discussing mechanisms for resource allocation, restructuring public spending, and improving financial performance indicators.
The third axis addressed the role of the unified development program in relation to the Libyan banking system, and the possibility of aligning its outputs with monetary policies in a way that supports financial stability and enhances development financing opportunities.
The dialogue witnessed a wide discussion during which multiple visions were presented regarding the challenges of implementation and the requirements for reform, with emphasis on the important role of academic institutions in evaluating development policies and proposing alternatives.
At the conclusion of the event, the college expressed its appreciation for the student union`s cooperation and their role in organizing it, affirming its continued support for dialogue spaces that contribute to enhancing economic awareness and establishing sound scientific analysis.
