Misrata University has achieved a new academic milestone by entering the Arab Universities Ranking (ARU) for the third time in its third edition for 2025, and ranking third nationally among Libyan universities.

This progress was announced in the ranking results released on Monday, December 22, 2025, which saw wide participation from Arab universities, including 20 Libyan universities.
The Arab ranking of universities is based on an integrated system of criteria that evaluate the institutional performance of universities, including the quality of the educational process, the level of scientific research, the efficiency of faculty members, innovation and leadership, in addition to academic cooperation and community service.
This achievement comes within the framework of the university administration’s vision aimed at enhancing Misrata University’s presence in accredited academic rankings, which contributes to raising its competitiveness in the Arab world and improving academic and research performance indicators.
On this occasion, the university administration commended the efforts of all its members—faculty, researchers, staff, and students—emphasizing that this progress reflects teamwork and institutional integration within the university.
