Misurata | October 6, 2025 - The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Misurata University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sayed Al-Qadi, participated in the meeting of the Scientific Association of Arab Veterinary Faculties, which was held on the sidelines of the 13th International Conference of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Mansoura University, from September 28 to 30, 2025, in Ras El-Bar, Egypt.
The meeting, attended by a number of deans of veterinary colleges from various Arab countries, discussed ways to develop veterinary education and enhance joint scientific and research cooperation between universities. It also explored mechanisms for exchanging scientific expertise and experiences and developing curricula.
The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably: establishing an electronic platform linking colleges to the association`s official website, exchanging expertise and training among students, launching a peer-reviewed scientific journal, and agreeing to hold the first joint scientific conference among Arab veterinary colleges.
The event also featured a joint meeting between college deans and the heads of Arab veterinary doctors to discuss the challenges facing graduates and ways to address them. It was decided that the University of Baghdad would host the association`s next annual meeting.
