
Misurata | Monday, October 27, 2025 - The University`s Office of International Cooperation organized a workshop this morning on the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the academic system and enhance international cooperation.
The workshop, held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and those interested in academic development. The workshop was presented by Dr. Salem Al-Shaltat, Director of the International Cooperation Office; Dr. Ramadan Abu Qadeeda, Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Office; and Dr. Ali Abdel Shahid, Director of the Information and Documentation Center.
The workshop addressed mechanisms for aligning Libyan curricula with the European system and its role in supporting academic mobility and qualification recognition. It also included an interactive session via the Kahoot platform about the Diploma Supplement.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Director of the Office of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation, Dr. Ramadan Abu Qadeeda, emphasized the importance of adopting this system to unify academic standards and enhance the efficiency of academic programs. The workshop is part of a series of activities implemented by the International Cooperation Office to support international academic mobility within the university.
