Tripoli | Tuesday, October 21, 2025 - Misurata University participated yesterday, Monday, in a workshop organized by the National Council for Economic and Social Development in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. On the applications of SolidWorks software in 3D engineering design, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions and develop the capabilities of academic cadres in the fields of innovation and digital design.
The university delegation included the Director of the International Cooperation Office, the Dean of the College of Engineering, and a number of faculty members. The workshop addressed the program`s most prominent capabilities in the fields of design and manufacturing, and discussed mechanisms for integrating it into educational and training curricula, which would contribute to developing students` skills and keeping pace with the shift towards digital industry.
The workshop was attended by a select group of university presidents, deans of engineering colleges, and specialists, along with experts from ABBK, a company accredited by the program`s producer. It concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and ABBK, aiming to enhance training and development in the field of 3D engineering design within Libyan universities.
