Muscat, Sultanate of Oman | Wednesday, October 15, 2025 - Misurata University participated today in the first day of the QS Arab University Forum 2025, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman with wide participation from Arab university presidents and representatives of higher education and scientific research institutions.
The university`s participation was attended by the university`s president, Professor Dr. Bashir Abu Bakr Al-Qunaidi, and the vice president for academic affairs, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Daghman. This came in response to an official invitation from the QS World University Rankings, which oversees university rankings.
The forum is one of the region`s most prominent academic events, discussing developments in higher education in the Arab world and ways to enhance the quality of academic performance and scientific research. It also witnesses the official announcement of the QS Arab University Rankings 2026, which will include Misurata University in recognition of its ongoing efforts in education, scientific research, and international cooperation.
This participation comes within the framework of the university`s commitment to strengthening its regional and international presence and consolidating its position among leading Arab universities striving to achieve excellence and sustainable quality.
