Misrata | Wednesday, October 29, 2025 - A scientific seminar entitled "Scientific Research on Breast Cancer: Scientific Achievements and Future Visions" was held this morning at the Faculty of Science, Misrata University, organized by the Research and Consulting Department, the Genetics and Biotechnology Department, and the Community Service Office at the Faculty.
The symposium program included opening remarks by the Dean of the College and a number of organizers, followed by scientific research presentations that addressed various topics including computer studies of potential treatments, and the effect of natural compounds and chemical agents on cancer cells. Research and awareness campaigns on early detection and self-education, national projects to unify cancer registries, along with pharmaceutical studies that addressed the impact of synthetic hormones and the importance of health awareness in prevention and treatment.
The symposium concluded with a panel discussion during which participants reviewed the most prominent findings and recommendations supporting scientific research and awareness efforts to combat breast cancer.
