The College of Environment and Natural Resources received the audit team from the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions.

Today, Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources welcomed the audit team from the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions. The purpose of the visit was to review the technical licensing file for the Master’s Program in Environmental Sciences within the Department of Environmental Sciences.

The opening session was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, who chaired the meeting and delivered a speech welcoming the team. He emphasized the commitment of the Faculty and the University to localizing postgraduate studies in Libya in accordance with the quality assurance and accreditation standards issued by the Center.

Following this, speeches were delivered by the Dean of the Faculty, the Director of the University’s Quality Assurance Office, the Director of Postgraduate Studies at the University, and members of the Faculty Council, all welcoming the team. The audit team then gave remarks, stressing the Center’s commitment to providing all necessary consultations and clarifying any observations in this regard.

A field visit was conducted to the Faculty’s facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, the library, and the University’s Research Center, as well as student support service areas. The team also began auditing documents such as regulations, program specifications, and course descriptions. The process included meetings and interviews with all stakeholders at the Faculty.

At the conclusion of the visit, the team provided several general observations and praised the Faculty’s efforts on this matter, while reaffirming the Center’s continued support to all higher education institutions in Libya.
