Thursday, July 17, 2025 - The Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Misurata University organized a ceremony honoring three faculty members in recognition of their long academic careers and contributions to education and scientific research. The honorees included: Prof. Dr. Mohammed Salem Kaiba, Prof. Dr. Omar Othman Zamouh, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid Abdul Salam Al-Maqsabi.
The ceremony also included a segment honoring the family of the late Professor Abdullah Al-Mabrouk Al-Darrat, a faculty member in the department, in appreciation of his career and academic and humanitarian contributions.
The ceremony was held in Dr. Omar Al-Toumi Al-Shaibani Auditorium, attended by the Dean of the College, heads of academic departments, a number of faculty members, and a select group of guests. It included speeches of appreciation and a visual presentation of the honorees` careers. It concluded with the distribution of certificates and shields of appreciation.
